Jesse Ruth Overton Liles, 92, a resident of 3600 NC Hwy 96 South died Thursday, March 16, 2017 at her home.

A native of Granville County, she was the widow of Vance Liles, and the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Sula Eakes Overton.

She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and was retired from NCNB/Bank of America. We will all remember her for her love of Duke Basketball and Atlanta Braves. We will all miss her cooking and baking. Especially those 12 layer Chocolate Cakes.

She is survived by her niece, Sandra Overton Field (Barry) of Atlanta, Georgia and nephews, Thomas M. Crews, Jr. (Betty) of Atlanta, Georgia and Everett L. Crews of Oxford along with several great nieces and nephews and a community of friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, March 20, 2017 at Corinth Baptist Church by Rev. Danny Barham. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held after the burial for family and friends in the church fellowship hall.
